They’re very good at collecting money from Congress (and medals). Not so good at winning wars.

    Fortunately the Yahoo news item is from June 4th. Maybe he meant impressive in its failure. Zelensky to be thrown under the bus in 3,2,1…

    I could be wrong, but I believe Australia has more generals per number of troops than the US. Linda Reynolds, for example, was a Brigadier (1 star general) before she entered politics. That’s the same rank as Pompey Elliot held during WW1.

    The Australian Official History of WW II has an appendix Too Many Generals. I wonder how the numbers compare then and now.
