  1. Christine says:

Feminists upset about poor soccer players who just want to do their job; these same feminists also want other women to do the child-minding job for them, so they can do a more important job.

    Women’s soccer is boring anyway.

  2. Bruce of Newcastle says:

Speaking of melodrama his mum’s now gone on hunger strike.

I hope son can talk her down. Spaniards are a passionate bunch!

  3. John of Mel says:

The only solution to this in this mad world – is to have all female staff for all sporting teams. Coaches, managers, doctors, all of them.

  4. John of Mel says:

correction: all female staff for female sporting teams.

  5. Fat Tony says:

all female staff for female sporting teams

  6. Jannie says:

Soccer is a games favoured by butch women and feminine men. When grown men play it they hug and kiss each other in public. Especially after scoring a goal. I don’t play soccer because men keep kissing you and you get social diseases.

  7. Bruce of Newcastle says:

Lesbos is a first point of call for country shoppers of no describable ethnicity nor religion. I doubt there’s many um female soccer players there these days. If I was one I’d get out of there quickly.

They were tense, exciting games but no one deserves statues for coming fourth.
Also, no one deserves the boss’s tongue down their throat for being a winner.

When women’s games get the crowds and TV eyeballs the men’s games do, they will get the sponsorships and pay accordingly. In the meantime it is entirely OK to help the sport develop, even if that means subsidising it.

Of course, filling women’s sport with transie men won’t do the women much good, even if it improves the quality of play.

The Matildas and women’s sport has come a long way, but still have a longer way to go.

    From 2016:
A largely negative reaction proceeded the Matildas’ 7-0 loss against a young, male Newcastle Jets team in a training exercise on Wednesday night.

Matildas lose to team of Newcastle Jets teenagers, prompting backlash from pundits.

A longer way to go to where? Only a fully emasculated society could enjoy watching women play men’s sports. They are just horrible as a spectacle.

Go for it! You know where your trouser pockets are, reach deep and make a sizeable donation.

Oh wait … you want to be generous with other people’s money?

Why he was inclined to slobber over the carpet muncher is known only to him. Spur of the moment ??
But again why? Cross dresser? Thinks himself as a female who likes lesbians!!

  12. Entropy says:

That reminds me of that train scene in that movie no one admits to watching called Eurotrip. “Oh, scuzi! Mi scuzi!”

    sounds terrible

    shame that’s not what happened

  15. Entropy says:

If it had been the men’s team he wouldn’t be in trouble.

  16. Christine says:

No one slobbered. A firm kiss was planted.
Players were enthusiastic in all the hugging.

But women must be allowed victimhood.

  17. Nos_Pullum says:

Jupes, it’s OK that you don’t like women’s sport, but others presumably do.
A lot of your fellow Australians were heavily invested in the team; whether they stay that way remains to be seen. Let them have their fun.

Tel, apologies for not being clearer, but not suggesting it should be anyone other than the various Football Federations that do the subsidising from a profitable part of their business, to develop a new and potentially high growth but presumably loss-making line of business.

Go back to the thread last week about Other People’s Money to see whether government subsidy is a good idea or not.

MT, please forgive a little hyper-bowl to make a point.

No they don’t. The Matildas hysteria was a brief moment of madness.

Thanks for the clarification N_P … but just so you know …

What Football Australia wants from government for its ‘Legacy ’23’ plan

    $180 million for community facilities
$60 million to boost female participation
$16.3 million for high performance programs
$12.5 million for female leadership and development initiatives
$7 million to support trade, tourism and Asia-Pacific relations

Over an eight-year period from 2021 2028, except for high performance and trade and tourism, which is for 2021-2024.

    As reported here.

Those sporting bodies are the first ones to grab the taxpayer by the gnadgers, and it isn’t just football … lots of sports do it. Not much has changed since the Roman Empire … pro-sport is primarily intended to distract the population from anything real.

  21. MatrixTransform says:

    no

if you wanted to make a point then you wouldn’t need absurd exaggerations

anything you deposit in the hyper-bowl should be hyper-flushed
