   I had the misfortune of staying in Bayswater one year when unbeknownst to me the Notting Hill Festival was on. I have never felt less safe in any major city as that night. All the local businesses I used to buy food from had shut up shop and the roads were filled to gutter level with rubbish. Really quite extraordinary
