  1. Lee says:

Yes, it was just such a wonderful country and blissful lifestyle for aborigines (as opposed to being as close to hell on earth as you could get) in pre-1788 Australia.

People like King need to get over their utterly delusional, Disneyfied idea of Australia before the white man came.

Not saying there aren’t problems in outback Australia, but the Voice most emphatically will not change things there.

  2. Ragu Namatjira Bennelong Schwab says:

Dr King linked Yarrabah’s high rates of diabetes, heart disease, and suicides to “policies of the past and the future”, rather than the choices of Yarrabah residents.

‘There are none so blind as those who will not see. The most deluded people are those who choose to ignore what they already know’

I guess the delicate genius prescribes hating on Murdoch and reading Marx.

    Indeed:

Prime minister makes link between $82m arts precinct in Coffs Harbour and Voice to Parliament.

Speaking to the crowd at the opening event, Mr Albanese said the council’s advisory body and its role in major projects, like Yarrila Place, was a small-scale example of what the Indigenous Voice to Parliament would do nationally.

“That’s what Australians are being asked to vote for. Just an advisory committee, nothing to fear,” Mr Albanese said.

National Party member for Coffs Harbour, Gurmesh Singh:

“We went from a modest two-storey building to a seven-storey building, if you include the underground carpark.

“It blew out the cost enormously.”

  4. Lee says:

Dr King linked Yarrabah’s high rates of diabetes, heart disease, and suicides to “policies of the past and the future”, rather than the choices of Yarrabah residents.

In other words King and others like him are saying that they are incapable of making good choices themselves or exercising free will, unlike everyone else.

    How shockingly condescending and racist.

  5. Riversutra says:

Dr Jason King is a Yued Noongar man

Senator Nampijinpa Price, a Warlpiri-Celtic woman,

It’s the ABC, so the dark one who disagrees has to be labelled Celtic and the one who agrees is whiter than a KKK sheet but labelled like he is some full blood tribal man.

  6. Basil Seal says:

Jason King used to be better turned out in the early 70s. Had no idea he’d given up the spying / crime writing for whinging. Seems out of character.

  7. Christine says:

The grinning prime minister. What a sight he is, promising and reassuring.
    Nothing to fear.
Just more millions for separate stuff.
    All over the country.

  8. Buccaneer says:

Jason King sees the impact of colonisation every day, through the glasses on his face.

  9. Lee says:

Dr King and that other outspoken activist critic of Jacinta Price (Stewart) have the ruddiest complexion of any aborigine I have ever seen.

  10. Petros says:

He sees it in the mirror.

  11. shatterzzz says:

Never mind the health of 251s only .. read the other day that 4 million Oz are classified as disabled .. that’s an atrocious number out of a population of 24 million ..
What on earth type of officialdom rates the level of “disability ” to have those sort of numbers ….?

  12. NFA says:

    “The horror… the horror”.

He’s read Stephen Kings latest diatribe!

  13. Hugh says:

Perhaps we could offer the good Dr an all expenses paid fact-finding tour of North Sentinel Island in the Andamans. He could offer us reflections afterward on whether colonisation is a Good or Bad Thing … supposing him to be still alive.

  14. Buccaneer says:

I’m sure they have an excellent optometrist on north sentinel island.
