Until I was three years old , I lived only about 200 metres from Paddington PO. Was born in a sleazebag local hospital set up to remember “The fallen”. It was a rather low-brow neighbourhood back then: one next door neighbour was a nightwatchman at Mark Foy’s Dept Store near Hyde Park, and the other neighbour was a double-decker bus driver.
Back then they would not have suspected that people with 2% aboriginal heritage would one day be claiming to be Australian Kings and Queens: Princes and Princesses having hereditary ownership of Paddington….and demanding they all bleat “Yes yes. You white fellas are our new Aristocracy. You will now replace Queen Elizabeth on our Pennies and Shillings. Arise King Marcia, and Consort Queen Noel!”
I suppose they would have done what the current billionaires occupying the very same rat-boxes we lived in back then are doing now with YES propaganda. So nothing much has really changed in Paddo, eh what?
