If you are going to imply that you are a Liberal supporter, perhaps you should try harder not to sound like a rabid leftard.
John
The Liberal Party is a party of the soft Left.
The clue is in the name [a dictionary may help].
If you are seeking a political home, may I suggest The Australian Greens.
Compulsory Fluoridation of all municipal water supplies is one of their Policies, though they recently removed it from their website.
Why would they do that, I wonder?
To the SydGal comment at 8:44pm yesterday:
The Liberal Party’s strength at the booths used to be smart, well groomed women who were skilled at approaching voters.
Over about the last 10 years the Labor/Greens have given them a really hard time at the booths, with the result that the Lib eral Party now struggle to find volunteers that can be effective.
Ed Case, yes, I had some older woman who did this in Week 2 but they rang me and told me they were being “savaged” by the Yes people. I had experienced it in Week 1. The yes men were determined to bully me of the PP booth but that made me more determined to stay! I only vacated week 2 to check on the other sites and then came back at the end and the yes people ramped it up again.
Yes, SydGal, they definitely target Liberal Party women volunteers.
My opinion is that it’s an intentional tactic, and it works.
Meanwhile, the AEC stand around in trheir shed, if they’re told by the Booth Captains what is happening outside, the response is:
Well, I didn’t see it, so I can’t do anything about it.
In the end, it’s up to the Liberal Party to stand up for it’s most valuable [and most vulnerable] people, but the Official Attitude seems to be
The AEC is a National Treasure and we refuse to make any comment that could be construed to adversely reflect on their conduct of Elections & Referenda.
So bullying is sanctioned now if it’s a leftist cause?
The left isn’t even pretending to be compassionate and fair these days.
The Left?
The Big 4 Banks, QANTAS, BHP, Rio Tinto, Woodside Energy, Origin Energy, Telstra all publicly supported and donated to the YES23 Campaign.
YES donations exceeded NO donations from all donors by 634%.
These entities are hardly The Left or sympathetic to Left causes..
Ergo, The Voice wasn’t a leftist cause, nor did it originate from the Left of politics.
Sure it wasn’t, and didn’t, if you say so …
Funny then, about all those conservatives and right wingers (aside from Chris Kenny) who supported and promoted the Voice.
Oh, wait a minute …
Ed
If you think my political “home” is with the Slime, your reading comprehension problem is worse that even I thought.
As for major businesses supporting Da Voice, you should familiarise yourself with fascism.
These entities know that a capricious government can hurt them badly. They also know that activists will turn up at their home to protest while being filmed by their ABC if they back the activist’s non preferred stance.
No means no Ed.

Peter FitzSimons suggests ‘genius’ way for Anthony Albanese to rebound from Voice to Parliament catastrophe

These entities know that a capricious government can hurt them badly.
Uh huh?
The Coalition will be back in Office sooner or later.
But in your fantasy, the Big 4 Banks, QANTAS, Rio Tinto, BHP, Woodside, et al, never thought of that possibility?
Reality check:
Any ‘capricious’ Government that threatened Rio Tinto, for example, would be neither ‘capricious’, nor The Government, for very much longer.
So, your fantasy falls ove r on grounds of Logic, as have many of your other fantasies over the years.
Good comrades for the greater good are not worried by nor about any political party in Australia.
