The Incredible Shrinking Indignation

FOR a month, feminists and the ABC have collectively yawned their way through the aftermath of the worst rape and femicide enormity of our time. No marches in Canberra for the violated women and girls of Israel, no white ribbons and no Four Corners probe into the ‘gendered’ hatred we know is dogmatically expounded in Australian mosques. Penny Wong didn’t wear a Star of David badge to Question Time and Clare O’Neil didn’t visit a Jewish girls’ school. For years, the ABC has made heroines of hijab wearers because the mental enslavement of girls is far less important than having another ‘intolerance’ cudgel to use on Australian ‘racists.’ This made a pivot to feigned concern for the bashed bareheaded women of Iran tricky but the national broadcaster has a childish delusion that nobody is keeping tabs on its double standards and vendettas.

And nobody was for decades but that’s starting to change. The boneyard of defamations, debunked conspiracies, counterfeit ‘fact checks,’ doctored narratives and false accusations has grown so huge that the public may at last be ready for the ABC to be severely reined in. Until then, however, it will go on treating decorated heroes as criminals (but terrorists as Byronic delinquents); or kidnapped Jewish women as the collateral damage of Zionism (but a strip-club spitfire – plastered, coked and keen – as a ‘survivor’). It will continue, in other words, to smear people it doesn’t politically like. As it did yesterday to headmaster Dr John Collier. He doesn’t have the umbrage immunity afforded to the ‘senior Labor figure,’ the ‘First Nations’ wife mugger or the tribal Big Man who berates women in the foyers of Ultimo. There is a “pervasive culture of entitlement in private school boys,” said the culture war hack commissioned by the ABC to dole out the usual calumnies. Less pervasive than in the boys of Gaza and central Australia, dear. Have at them.

aaaahhhh C.L. – you have encapsulated the nub.

I wonder what ‘authorised drugs’ the “fine student, a prefect, a role model” was taking?

  2. Lee says:

The far-left closed shop which is the ABC is far beyond the point at which it can be repaired or redeemed.

  3. NFA says:

It is the official Australian Deep State Propaganda machine and it does not matter whether ALP or LNP or Greens or Teals are in so called ‘government’.

  4. NFA says:

Lucky there were no ABC reporters nor “insurrectionists” at this rally,

“The idea that he [Thijssen] was a prefect, a role model, a fine student, this does not mean it’s an anomaly that he could murder somebody,” she said.
This “sexual consent advocate”, which is apparently a career- has nothing to say, but has to expel the intruder from her territory.

  6. calli says:

Collier is a decent, kind man. Like so many, he’s trying to work through the mystery of evil. How can what appears to me a normal, intelligent young man suddenly turn into a monstrous killer? Especially someone he knew as a pupil.

It’s a deep, often unknowable mystery. It might be drugs. It might be some sort of physical mental defect. It could be a deep seated tendency towards fury and expediency, triggered by rejection. We just don’t know, sometimes we’ll never know.

The fembots, of course, go for the generalisation – all private school boys are “entitled”. What does that even mean? Entitled to what? Like everything in this world, it depends. But to the brain dead feminist with issues of envy and antiquated “class” issues, it’s simples! Private school boys – bad! State school boys – good!

Private school principals – even baderer still!

Reality will hit her like a freight train.

  7. Christine says:

    The ABC.
I can’t bring myself to read their predictable, extreme prejudice.
    No matter –
    The column says it all.

  8. Ed Case says:

The victim was in a short term relationship with her killer.
He boasted about it to other peopl,e, it got back to her and she ended the relationship.
He then stalked her and brained her with a hammer.
But he was ‘a delight’ according to his Headmaster.

Yeah, everyone knows by now not to expect any class from the ABC, but their take is a new low.

  9. Bruce of Newcastle says:

It’s all about the side. A righty will be accused by all sorts of strange wymminses of heinous and imaginary stuff (Kavanaugh, Lerhmann) but a lefty can get a random stripper pregnant and there are no consequences (Hunter).

The most entertaining thing is that radical feminists are now unpersonned because TERF. There you go girls, you are only useful idiots as long as you stay useful. After that they jettison you.

Do try to stay out of the hands of Islamic kiddies progressive lady types, you might not like their um, appreciation of your personages.

  10. Cassie of Sydney says:

It will continue, in other words, to smear people it doesn’t politically like. As it did yesterday to headmaster Dr John Collier. And don’t forget a PM who is on film yelling “smash her” at a female opposition MP.

As for John Collier, he is a decent man and an excellent headmaster.

A sublime piece C.L, as always.

  11. Christine says:

I can’t see anything wrong with the headmaster saying the past student had been delightful. Why couldn’t it be true? ….
… up until he (possibly a ‘golden boy’) experienced rejection and became a murderer.

These things happen. Two decades back, a country state school boy shot and killed a girl who ended their relationship. He went from ‘delightful’ to murderous.

It has nothing to do with “entitled” boys educated at private schools.

  12. Rosie says:

A 21 yo school friend of someone I knew was murdered by a rejected suitor back in 1981, hard to even find a reference on the internet to it.
Forced her car off the road and shot her.
She definitely went to a Catholic school. I think he might have gone to a close by low fee Catholic boy’s school.
If the problem is elite boy’s schools there’s quite a few high profile lefties who should be looking sideways at their sons.

  13. Ed Case says:

“The idea that he [Thijssen] was a prefect, a role model, a fine student, this does not mean it’s an anomaly that he could murder somebody,” she said.

In other words, she’s found the culprit and, Ta Da, it’s your generic White Aussie Male.
    Quelle surprise, as they say.
He had only been in Australia 8 years, was from an extremely priviledged background, did that have anything to do with it?
Nah, whaddya some kinda bigot against super rich people?

  14. Lee says:

What Collier said about Thijssen is perfectly reasonable as he knew him, and it is historically not unusual for shocked acquaintances, friends and relatives to describe or praise a murder’s previously exemplary behaviour.

Which is not to suggest that they condone the murder, but of course the ABC always has an agenda.
